Joining stVol just got easier with the addition of Lite mode, available now!

Lite Mode
But.. why?
No matter how good a product is, you can’t get growth without onboarding users. Other DeFi like Perps/DEXs are already well educated: to the average crypto man they’re quite straightforward structures. In the options sector - it’s still a big problem.
stVol itself is an acceptance to this challenge. However, we are not perfect: team acknowledges how our product may suffocate some newbies at first sight.
To embrace a larger part of the retail user base, we decided to create a even easier experience.
What’s New?
Introducing Lite Mode (link). Designed for mobile users using Metamask / Coinbase Wallet (but the link works for PC as well).
Multipliers instead of option prices
Each order = 1 Unit @ Market price
Lite mode is essentially the same product in the backend. It’s just the user experience that has got a twin. The original experience is now titled Degen mode. You can always switch modes by clicking the button on the top.
The main difference with Lite mode is that users no longer need to deal with option price. Products are simplified to resemble the payoff multiplier for each strike, in case the trade wins.
Every order is unified to 1 unit, to provide the most basic presentation of stVol, with another step gone!
Placing Orders
All you have to do is connect your wallet → deposit funds → choose over / under → select strike (based on multiplier) → check price and submit order!
Note that users can check the final order price before submitting their orders. Simple is not always a synonym for obscure. While we’re showing multiplier instead of price in the webpage, this is not an attempt to hide the actual price users pay.
stVol respects user funds at all costs - we don’t wanna mess with your hard-earned money!
The other essentials are still there as well. Chat and order & round history functions are available below the order UIs.
Our Expectations
We hope Lite Mode is ramp for DeFi newbies to stVol.
Why mobile first? More people are moving over to mobile - this is a trend not independent to crypto. Both Web2 and Web3 ecosystems are pivoting from websites to mobile apps.
Amidst this change, the competition for crypto wallets has stirred up innovation: users are getting interesting features like 1-click trading.
Onramp (fiat → crypto) is getting easier as well, with CEX wallet integrations from Coinbase, OKX.
